Construction - The base is LM6 die cast aluminium, powder coated, with three 8mm grub screws.
The bowl is manufactured from moulded, U.V. stabilized, high impact acrylic material clear, prismatic or opal.
The removable gear tray is galvanized steel and is fixed to the base.
The lid is of spun aluminium, powder coated on the top to match the base and white on the underside for efficient light distribution.
The knob casting, which secures the lid is of die cast aluminium, powder coated to match the lid.
All internal nuts and bolts are radium plated.

Gasket - Two gaskets of silicone material are fitted, one between the bowl and the lid and a second gasket between the bowl and the base to prevent the ingress of water or dust.

Gear Tray - The gear tray is manufactured from galvanized mild steel and is fitted to the main body by two screws in key slots to allow easy removal and replacement.

Control gear - The choke capacitor and ignitor (when required) are fastened directly to a removable gear tray fastened to the main body, all control gear SABS approved.

Lampholder - As required for the lamp type normally GES or ES porcelain or PL two pinlampholder.

Electrical connection - A three way 15 amp connector block is provided in the control gear compartment.
